can I travel in an airplane with a baby stroller?

baby stroller
fams1st asked:

I’m going on vacation with my six month old and I was wondering if I could take a stroller like this one

babies don’t pay until they are 2 years old, and they said she sits in my lap but I want to take the stroller because when I arrive I’m going to be by my self with the luggage and everything and I supposed is easy if i take the stroller.

can I? if I can, is there an extra fee?

from experience, yea you can take a stroller, you can also take a car seat for them to seat if they bout their own ticket, there is no extra fee and the best part is that parents with small kids get to board first. Also after age 1 you should purchase a ticket.

Yes you can. they will check it at the gate for you and give you a little ticket. When you land and get off the plane they will have it on the walk way. give them your ticket, and your on your way. Good Luck!

You can walk right up to the plane with the stroller, then they will check it to the belly of the plane. When you land, they will pull it right up to the gate for you, so long as the airline know that you need the stroller.

    Have a safe flight.

I did fly several times with my Segway and always boarded first with the other ‘handicapped’ people and parents with children. You can use the stroller or carriage right up to the door of the plane-and then you have to take the child out, and anything in the stroller must go on the plane with you. The stroller gets brought down to the ‘cargo’ hatch and gets put in there-they will take it out and have it waiting for you when you get out at the other end. But you need to tell the person when you check in to get a special pass/tag to put on it-you can’t just go rolling in with it!

You can take a stroller with you, but the airline will ask you to check the stroller in at the door or gate of the airplane. You must remind the flight crew at the gate of the fact that you have a stroller, they’ll put an orange tag on with your name and ticket ref. number, and once you reach the plane, you will leave the stroller (folded) there and the flight crew will then take it down to the luggage compartment of the plane. You’ll get the stroller back once you get out of the plane at the destination.
