Travelling to UK, Stroller or baby carrier?

I have a 6 month old very sweet baby, she generally stays really happy in her stroller. Do u think baby carriers will be needed while visiting UK. Make sure u understand, trip is gonna be as short as 20 days, that means frequent movements.

Will it be hard to travel from Gatwick to Knightsbridge on the Gatwickexpress with a suitcase and stroller?

Are there lifts to get from the airport to the gatwick platform? I will have my baby in his stroller and a suitcase and be taveling alone and need to go from gatwick to my hotel in knightsbridge… I am scared!! And I have heard taxis are super mega expensive. ANy other ideas?
