Do you wash a stroller and car seat pad before baby use it?
We just assemble our baby travel system and i wanna ask you guys experience if you wash it or not. If yes, which way is best : washing machine or by hands? Or you just use the wipe/washcloth to clean it?
Thanks!

we didn’t wash ours before the baby used it. i think if you did want to wash it, the best way would be to just wipe it down w/ a washcloth. if you start to take everything off the carseat you might not be able to get it back on right and that wouldn’t be good… like i said, we didn’t wash ours and my son turned out just fine.

I did not wash them and we have not had any problems.

You know. I never thought about that.. But now that you mention it. That sounds like a good idea. I would wash it along with anything the baby will wear or use like towels, wash cloths,bibs..
I’d probably machine wash. Or just follow the care instructions that come with it,that would be better.

We washed ours in the washing machine, just check the tags and follow the directions.

That was probably one of the few things I didnt wash before my kids used them. I will say having washed carseats and strollers many many times since that the washer is probably the easiest way to go.

Well, you should first read the Care Instructions. I was totally pro wash everything for my baby with Seventh Generation hypoallergenic detergent for babies until I read the DO NOT MACHINE WASH tag on my stroller travel system. I say go by the Care Instruction. If machine wash is not recommended then I say make a water and vinegar mix and wipe the fabric down. Vinegar is a very, very effective yet harmless cleaner.

If it came in a sealed package I wouldn’t bother. I only washed items that people could have walked through the store and touched. It’s amazing how many people will walk through the aisles touching everything while coughing their lungs out.

My car seat and stroller info say to wash before use. I would have anyway, even if it was used or new.
Machine wash or whatever it say on the care instructions.
