its not the 1st time that it happened
i have 2 , 6 year old mini schnauzers i adopted them fro ma rescue group about 2 months ago , today i took them out to the dog park and i was surprised at their reaction to the baby strollers they started barking at it ,whining and hiding behind me i dont know if thats fear of it or something else but it happened before but it was towards bicycles
as i said i don’t know if its fear or maybe just like an anxiety they are fine when it doesn’t move like they will want to go and smell what the heck that is but as soon as it moves they are starting to go crazy

As far as the fear of strollers goes, there’s not much you can do about it. Just be careful that the stroller doesn’t hurt them in any way so they see that there’s nothing to fear : ) ⓓⓞⓧⓘⓔ ⓜⓤⓣⓣ

There’s just something about noisy wheels that drives a lot of dogs nuts. Some act feafully, others give chase. You’ll need to work with your dogs to desensitize them to wheeled vehicles, like skateboards, bikes, buggies, etc. Some dogs are just smart enough to understand that they don’t understand what’s happening and it freaks them out. One of my dogs simple can’t understand why the world flies by in a moving car. Miss Ellie

Some dogs like to chase anything with wheels..skateboards, cars, etc. It is hard to break them out of it. Somebody

If they have never been taught that strollers are safe, I can’t blame them for fearing them. It seems silly to us, but remember, they’re just dogs. They have no idea what strollers are, they’re just big and often noisy “monsters.”

Do you know anyone with a baby stroller? You can practice with them. You want to desensitize them to the strollers so that they feel comfortable around them. Here’s a quick explanation on how to teach them that they shouldn’t fear strollers:

My dog was afraid the first time he encountered a baby stroller, too. He leaped up and barked at it like mad. That’s because I failed to ever teach him that strollers are okay when I was socializing him. moof
