My son was born in January, but it doesnt get extremely cold here. I probably took him to the store when he was a couple weeks old I guess. They have to go with you when you take them to the DR. My husband had to go back to work after they were born and I had to do everything like I did before(shopping errands etc). They are infants and usually do a lot of sleeping anyways. They don't mind as long as you feed them and change them...take care of their needs when they arise. As far as the temperature goes....listen to them.....they will let you know if they are not comfortable. Check them and make sure they aren't too hot and try removing some clothing. In cold weather keep them bundled up and continue to keep a check on them and make sure they "feel" okay. Keep the wind off them. They can pretty much endure what we endure under certain circumstances. I think taking your baby out with give him a love for the outdoors! Both of mine go out every chance they get! Good Luck!! Sounds like you have everything you need to keep him/her comfortable. I do, however have to refrain from taking my 3mo. old on our daily walks now because we are having temp. of 90-100. I don't take him out if it's like 90 or more, since he is a sweathog anyway! You'll be able to tell when your baby isn't tolerating something. She will most likely get fussy, or fidgety.
