If you don’t care about the snap and go conveinience of a baby bucket, is a stroller that lays flat as safe?

MRS.H asked:

Is a baby bucket with a travel system safer that a lay-flat stroller? Or is a lay-flat stroller safer for a newborn?

  1. Courage Says:

The lay-flat stroller is far safer than using a travel system, because a baby should not be kept in the car seat any longer than necessary (ie, during car-transportation), even if it’s designed to go on a stroller. Car seats put them in a curling position and a tilt that usually makes their chin go in against their chest, and this causes measurable oxygen loss that has even been connected with baby deaths. So it’s not safe to use a car seat any longer than necessary, and best if you can limit a baby being in that position to no more than 2 hours a day. Courage
