no a nine year old is not too old for a baby doll, besides why do you want them to grow up faster, it is good that they still want to play with baby dolls TheProfessionalNerd
No. She can really play with whatever she wants so long as its not to mature. Children know what they enjoy doing, theirs not much point to making them grow up with a time table. Emmy
She’s not too old because she asked you. When they stop asking for those type of toys you know that they are getting a bit too old for baby dolls and barbies. Enjoy buying her those type of toys while you can, they grow too fast! Have a wonderful Christmas! Cynthia
No. I think it’s sweet that at 9 she still has her child like innocence and play about her. Let her be little for as long as she wants. Kids grow up too fast these days as it is. At least she’s asking for a doll and stroller rather than tryingn to imitate teenagers on TV or other things. ladedamom
My mother is 83 and collects dolls. My daughter is 11, and has a baby alive doll. You should be happy she still wants to play with them.
I kind of know where your coming from though. Some teens want a baby too soon, so some schools send them home with a baby doll that cries a lot to see if they are ready for the real thing. suzy home maker
Your daughter needs to be a kid for as long as she wants. At least she’s not asking for a cell phone like some of the nine year olds I know. You don’t want her to grow up too fast do you? my daughter is 7 and she wants a nintendo wii for xmas this year, your lucky that that is all she wants honey. kee
Society tends to force girls to grow up too fast. Good example, Bratz dolls. Target market is 6-10 year old girls. Those dolls are just too tarty for that age group. Susan D
No she isn’t too old. My daughter was only mildly interested in dolls when she was 4 or 5. When she was about 8, she became interested in playing with them again. bluefish

No, that’s not too old. When she’s too old you’ll see the dolls disappear. jakflak

Let her use her imagination as long as she can. It can only spur creativity. rayroket
