And it does get better when you can switch the car seat around, he will be able to see you and you can pop a baby Einstein DVD and it works like magic. As for the stroller rides, it gets better too, attach toys to the sun shade something colorful. And when he is able to cheerios you put some of those in the tray and he will love it. I hated going in the car with him :(. Using a wrap to carry him is a great idea! That's what I did and he loves it. I'll include a site to find the best one for you. He did better when we took him out of the infant seat and put him in the larger convertible car seat. It's just a stage and soon he will get used to it. I know it's hard. When she gets too fussy in the stroller I pop her in the carrier and little by little she has been able to handle being in the stroller for longer periods of time. Also, you can try getting a baby mirror that they make for cars. The kind where you put it in the back window so you can see the baby from your rear view mirror. I have one on the stroller and in my car. Our baby is so busy looking at the mirror that she doesn't fuss much at all anymore. Please don't let your baby "cry it out." Babies cannot be spoiled and if they feel more comfortable being held then hold them. They are only babies for a little while and the crying will pass.
