You are allowing your child's tantrums to keep you from going anywhere. The child is basically SPOILED. He doesn't NEED a lot of entertainment, you just percieve that he does because he cries. Put the baby in the car seat and let him cry. You have allowed this baby to take control of the entire situation, he calls all the shots. You'd better start letting go of this child now or else you're going to have a teenager who is going to demand every waking moment of your life. Also try half swaddling, not too tight, just so he feels held. Don't let him get too warm though. Good luck, he'll get used to it soon but good on you for the atteched parenting it is so lovely for them. This can then follow through to the rest of their little lives so do not give in. Take your baby out often for short journeys, even if you do not need to go anywhere. Even to the post box or a local park. Play a soothing tape or cd in the car. If he cries, turn the cd up. This is more common than you think so stick with it. You have to remember that they get extremely heavy which will not do your back any good. You could try putting your stroller in the house and put him in it a few times a day when there is a baby program on the tv (not that I hold by sticking a child in front of the tv often) . The child has to see it around. When he/she begins to crawl, they will try to get into it. In the end curiosity wins. A soother might help, but at the moment it sounds like he is controlling mum. This can not happen for your sake. It only takes three weeks for a habit to form so if you make some sort of routine out of some journeys either in the stroller or car seet it will help. I have a 10 week old and he also hates the car seat and pram, drives me nuts !! I think my son feels vulnerable, I hate driving anywhere and cannot go for a stroll around the shops ..I have plenty pram toys and music goes on in the car and he even sleeps with radio on at home !! I have 3 other kids and never had this problem they loved everything. I have 3 prams in hope he will eventually like one lol !! good luck sorry dont have any suggestions but just letting you know I have one too haha hehe I was hoping it gets better !
