My baby hates walks in her stroller. Is it hot or something else?
I’ve just moved to Florida and since then my 4 months baby-girl screams like crazy every time when I try to go with her (in the stroller) for a walk. I try to do it after 5 pm, even 6 pm, so sun isn’t bad anymore and I feel it’s safe and ok. However, she still cries and rolls in her stroller, she wants but cant fall asleep ( I see). The same happens in the car even when I have ac on - instead falling asleep she arches, starts crying. So lately I gave up but I can’t wait until winter to go out with her. Any of you had a similar experience?? Do you think she cries because of the weather, humidity and my stroller and car seat (which it Chicco - black, heavy material)? Do you think I should change the stroller and car seat - any suggestions what’s better, lighter option for Florida on the market?

Maybe your baby just doesn’t like being restrained in the stroller, or she might not be able to see you. Try a forward facing stroller, or just carry her. You can also try the over the shoulder carriers so she can be close to you while walking. This also burns calories!

It’s possible that since the material of the car seat and stroller are black that it’s too hot. Black absorbs tons of heat from the sun and takes some time to cool. Try keeping a light colored receiving blanket over them when she’s not in them so they’ll be cooler when she does go in. If that doesn’t do the trick, try getting a different model in lighter colors, she sounds very uncomfortable.

i had the same problem with my daughter she may not like being restrained. lots of babies hate it. does she kick off her blankets at night or not want clothes or shoes on? if so its the restraint problem. the black could also be bringing on more heat so if she is already bundled up it makes her hotter. dress her cool in say a onezie, no blankets cept one to keep the sun off her. and let the cool night air flow on her. good luck.
