shawna g asked:
I feel like only older babies can do this but am I being over protective? Can my baby go for a walk?

yes. (depending on the type of stroller, probably not if she has to sit up)

NO!!! What’s the point?? She’s too young and will not benefit from it anyway. Keep her in doors a little longer to help her build up her immune system.

Make sure the baby have all of his/her shots. Maybe you should ask your doctor..

Yes, your baby can go for a walk in the stroller. I would take her out on a nice day and make sure she is still bundled up but she will be fine.

Most definately! I have been walking my little girl in the stroller since she was 2 months old (would have done it sooner…but it was a little chilly in our neck of the woods for that!) Just make sure that your little princess has enough head support, the sun is out of her eyes, and I would suggest having a stroller that reclines (it doesn’t have to be a flat recline…just enough that she doesn’t flop forward!)
Go ahead, get out and enjoy the great weather!

Sure you can! Enjoy it…..it will do you both some good.

If it’s not windy, yes!! Make sure she is bundled if it is chilly. Fresh air is great for mom and baby.

depending on the climent your in, right now in my area its chilly but i would love to bring my one month out. if the stroller you have is one that will allow the baby to lie down it should be fine. at 9 days swaddle your baby and if the weather is not to cold or to hot i would say a nice 73 out or around that should be fine.

u can take your baby out for a walk. as long as u dress her appropriately for the weather.

I myself am a Mom who believes that it is best to keep newborns inside for at least two months. Babies have such a low immune system and the last thing you want is for your newborn to get ill.
That’s my two cents worth! I have two children whom I kept inside until they were 2-3 months old.

Of course! You and your baby need fresh air as long as it isn’t unreasonably cold or hot.
Just make sure your baby is comfortably positioned and off you go!
FYI there are more germs in your house than outside. And if you want to talk about risking a baby getting sick think about the dr’s waiting room.

Yes! The fresh air and indirect sunlight is good for both of you! Baby may prefer a sling ride, but just get out of the house if it’s nice! My two won’t stay inside right now. Congratulations!

You bet you can! Make sure you put a hat on the baby’s head and bundle them up warm and have an extra blanket. If it is a nice day, the fresh air will do you both good. Baby will sleep a little longer, too. But, keep an eye on if the baby is getting cold, then it is time to head back home. Have fun with your new little one!

taking your baby for a walk is fine as long as she is dressed properly for the weather and being so young that the stroller is reclined so she doesnt flop forward

depends on the weather.if shes dressed warm and with blankets over the stroller it should be okay.if its windy id just stay home.REMEMBER inside you she was very warm so all this coldness is new to her so keep her very snugg
