parents - how do you take walks with your baby in the stroller? Mine always falls asleep?
which wouldn’t be a problem but he’s 12 months and only needs to nap once for about an hour. anymore than that and he won’t sleep at night. how can i keep him awake during walks? what do you guys do?
its that position + moving. He always falls asleep in the car too, unless i make it a point to play with him while driving.

I walked when it was nap time and kept it only to that length. Ethel

Are you sure he won’t sleep at night if he sleeps more or you are just scared he won’t? Sleep generally begets sleep and many kids that age still need 2 hours of naps a day. Actually, most kids need longer than 1 1-hour nap a day.
Seems to me, if he falls asleep so easily, he is probably tired.
Try taking him right after he wakes up from his daily nap. DeniseG

I always like to talk to them and stop and pick up a leaf or a flower or something that they could play with to keep them occupied. Chrissy V

I keep him occupied and if he sleeps I get him run around at the playground or walk part of the way home. He doesn’t want to miss anything so just keep at least one of his senses in action, even if it’s getting him to sing a long with you while you are pushing the stroller. Brandima

If he is going to nap can u walk early? If he did sleep it would be early and wouldnt bother his night time sleeping. I usually walk about 7am, (in my house though, treadmil) and they are usually asleep. ♥Mami D Hayzea Y Cruz♥
