Recommend a stroller for an almost 3 year old?

baby stroller
NoFrillsM asked:

My daughter will be 3 in May and I want to get rid of her bulky baby stroller. I have been looking at the Maclaren Truimph. I just want something light, easy to lug around and in the $100-$125 dollar range. She is about 33 pounds now. Any suggestions or recommendations? Thank you!
I should also add alot of the malls around here are very spread out so she does use it alot. Plus we will be traveling alot this summer. Umbrella strollers don’t seem to have the features I want.

I just use one of the cheapie umbrella strollers… they work great, are light and not too difficult to store in the back of a car!

I love my Maclaren I have to say for my daughter… but I’m also a huge fan of the cheap umbrella strollers you can get for $20 at Babies R Us. At age 3, they don’t spend a ton of time in the stroller, so I wouldn’t invest a ton of money in a stroller. The umbrella strollers are light and fit just about anywhere.

You might like some of the “jogger” style strollers. They are tall and narrow and go on three air filled wheels so they’re fairly light and maneuverable but are big enough for an older taller child to be comfy in. I’m not sure what extra features they have though. A place to hold a wallet or purse is great, not to mention snacks and drinks. Good luck

Check out some of the strollers at Target. Not all are sold in store so you have to pay shipping/handling. My toddler (3yrs) is outgrowing the “baby” stroller but I still need one for travel, walks etc. I haven’t bought a new one yet but I have been looking at several on Target. com. Just make sure you check the weight. Some of the really pricey ones can hold up to 50lbs but for the $$$$$!! No thanks. Hope this helps!

why not check ebay.com or craigslist… you can find brand new items at a low price… bought my brand new (still in box) maclaren quest from a seller in craigslist for only $120…

I got the Maclaren Volo when my son was about 2.5. He’s almost 4 now and we still use it occasionally. It’s great to have. The weight limit on the Macs is 50 lbs, most strollers it’s 40, so that was a big selling point for me. Plus, those cheapie umbrella strollers are too SHORT to push comfortably. My Volo was $80 new (on sale… retail is $100 I think) and sooo worth it! And, only like 9 lbs. It’s so easy to steer even with one hand (which you wouldn’t think, since it has the two handles)

Single you must take into account the correct safety measures to buy it of the value independently.
