STROLLER OR SLING FOR BABY ?
What did you use more often a sling or stroller?
Im keen on using a sling for the first few months, or do you think a stroller is easier?
I was thinking one like this.

Slings are great. i have a new born and a daughter of 5 years. I really need the sling to be able to carry my little one and help my daughter with her homework, cleaning etc. I also have a stroller and i am glad because my son gets heavy and my back starts to hurt. There are very inexpensive slings at walmart! Nadja C

I have a eddie bauer stroller and carseat combo and a sling. I use the stroller much more. Especially when its cold. I know she’s in there comfy with blankets. It takes up more space, but a lot more comfy to her Lucky~Mommy

I used the stroller more because he hated the sling at first..then when he liked it I did use it around the house but still use strollers while out and about. Now he’s too big for the sling and too heavy for the carrier…it hurts my shoulders a lot.
(plus Jacob was a summer baby so often times the sling was too hot. ) But the ones you are showing are really nice… Jacob’s Mommy

Slings are nicer because you keep your child close to you and you don’t have to worry about pushing the stroller through clothing racks at the store and you won’t have to struggle with it. Also, the first one is really cute. Meagan G

I have 4 kids and I always used a stroller. I have tried the slings but even a 12 pound baby gets heavy after awhile ಊ]aMiEಊ

l used a stroller, and never had a sling. l am definitely wanting a sling next time around, l think it will make my life a lot easier. With a stroller you have to fight to get it folded up, and it can be hard to heft around if you need to put it in the car. l’m thinking l would be using a sling or some type of baby carrier. I think I can count on my fingers how many times I have used my stroller. I never planned it to be that way but found that my son didn’t stay happy in the stroller for more than about 15min most of the time. Even when I do use the stroller I bring a sling/carrier with me and almost always use it. I have a hotsling, moby wrap, and an Ergo. By far my Ergo is my most used, second is the hotsling, but the moby was great for the first few months and all I used. Both you are looking at are similar to the moby. The only down side is if you have one with a stretchy fabric it’s not so great for bigger babies, it tends to sag.
If you use a carrier that evenly spaces the weight between both shoulders and your waist you shouldn’t have any pain issues. My son is around 20lbs and I still don’t have any discomfort when I use the Ergo. At this point a regular sling such as the hotsling is only good for quick trips to the store. I bought a travel system and for us it was a complete waste of money. Melissa S

I used a sling for the first 5 monthes, but now stroller because its easier on back and my son enjoys sitting up on his own.My husband and I still put him in a sling or bjorn when cleaning the house or shopping. Let me tell you, I don’t know what I would have done without the baby carrier. They have done studies that show babies who are “attatched” to mothers, (slings, bjorn, etc) have a lower risk of SIDS and are more confident as toddlers and children. sosagely

You should have both. It is great to carry the baby in a sling but it can get tiring - especailly your back.
good luck and have fun! Cathy
