my 12 month old baby girl will not stay in a stroller for more than 10 mins. What to do?

It is just awful! I hate to hear her cry and be unhappy but I just can’t carry her anymore. She is 26 pounds and the carriers just kill my back. I try giving her toys to play with and stuff to snack on but that will gives us a few extra minutes. I feel that we can’t go anywhere that is further than around the corner and she and I are missing out on a lot of fun playtime at other spots that are a little walk away from home. Does anyone have any suggestions? I would love some advice. Someone told me to let her cry and she will get used to it-but I don’t know, it is hard to see her get so upset.
