Traveling on a plane with a baby stroller?

Does the aiport charge extra for taking a baby stroller with you or not? It’s a fairly large stroller that I have but I feel that I’m going to need it and I want to know how I go about taking it with me.

I don’t believe they do, since strollers are typically necessary for getting around the airport with children. I’ve seen them on many flights I’ve taken…fold it up and there’s usually a spot for you to leave it just before you get on the plane. They’ll have it waiting for you when you deplane, so you can unfold it, put the child in, and be on your way.

They do not. You can use it up to the entrance of the plane, at which point the airline will take it and check it for you. You will get it when you get off the plane at your destination.

The airport and the airlines do not charge you extra for the stroller…If you take the stroller to the gate with the baby, the airline you are flying, will check your stroller at the gate and when you arrive, the ramp personnel will bring your stroller up to the jetway! This is very convenient!

No, they don’t charge you for the stroller. You can use it right up until you get the door or the stairs of the plane. At that point, you will gate-check it; they will put a tag on it and give you the other end as a receipt, and then they will stow it before the plane takes off. When the plane lands, the gate-checked items are the first ones unloaded and your stroller will be waiting for you outside the door or at the bottom of the stairs. I’ve flown with a stroller many times, and it’s always been very easy.
