Help I have a 2 month old and would like to start walking in the evenings but I have found that there are so many mosquitos out, I live in a very humid city and they arenot easily avoided. Are there any remedies or suggestions to keep all insects away from baby and me while walking…..

You can buy mosquito nets made to fit strollers.

You can put mosquito netting over the stroller, and use cutter’s or another repellant on yourself! Please don’t put anything on baby’s skin…

go to toys r us or babies r us or target
they have screen things that go over the stroller

You can get a mosquito net that goes over the stroller (specifically designed for this).

I woudl be hesitant to spray any sort of repellent on a 2 month old.

Off or another bug spray for you, mosquito netting for the baby stroller. Or ask your baby’s doctor if there is an insect repellent safe for babies. I doubt it..but it never hurts to ask.

You can use insect repellant on yourself and buy mosquito netting at a yard goods store to put over the stroller. I noticed that they sell little coiled bracelets that repel mosquitoes at Linens and Things.

My mom has suggested dryer sheets they will repel mosquitos and u can use them on a child that young. As i am sure you know you cant use bug spray on a child that young which really sucks cause i know how u feel we have bad mosquitos were i live but i would try that and see what happens just rub them on the childs clothes and i would spray the stroller with bug spray. Good luck and try not to get eaten!

Off for kids. Don’t spray directly on the baby. Spray on your hands and then put it on the baby. Don’t put the Off on the baby’s hands because then they might put their hands in their mouth.

Avon’s Skin So Soft is a mosquito and fly repellant. My brother uses it on his son. Has since he was born and is now 2 years old. I use it when I have to work out in the yard or spend any time outside.

bounce dryer sheets just rub on babys skin and then maybe keep a dryer sheet in the babies back pocket and then a mosquito net

use mosquito netting around the babies stroller. There really are not any bug sprays that you can put on a baby that young.

As everyone has said go to a speciality store for babies. They will sell mosquito nets.
I own 2, a black one which also helps with shade and a white one.
It shouldnt be more than AUD$15

The mosquito net thing sounds great; I’m gonna have to look for that. We are just running into the same problem with our evening stroller walks. Also, my pediatrician said Skin So Soft insect repellant is a great choice for babies (my son is 1 year), but I’m not sure if it’s ok for one as young as two months.
