What are some good stores to buy safe, durable baby car seats and strollers?
I know Babies R’ Us and Target but they don’t have anything worth looking at. In addition to baby car seats and strollers, it can also be stores that sell baby play yards and etc.
No online websites. I need real stores I can actually go to

Burlington Coat Factory, some have a Baby Depot, Walmart, KMart… This is a tough question! Are there any Baby Specialty Stores near by? Where I live we have Babies USA it has nothing but baby items. If you go to look for things your interested in and there is a link to find near you, and you can possibly find some Baby Speciality Stores! Good luck! Expecting A Suprise in August!

I’ve always trusted Walmart when it came to my children’s supplies. I have a 2 and a half year old and I have purchased his car seats and strollers there. I wasn’t too crazy about the last stroller, but I went over to Babies r us / Toys r us and was able to buy him a really nice stroller for a little over a 100 dollars. The company that made it is Jeep. It is soo much better than the other strollers. It’s a three wheeler, but the easiest to push around and my son is comfortable. That is what counts to me. But everything else, I bought it at Walmart. You can’t really beat the prices, and its good! ɷ ɹəɥʇɐəɥ ɷ due 08/24/09

Sorry, I bought everything online, partially for the convenience, and partially because I couldn’t find what I wanted in store. I will recommend the Britax car seats though, I have the Boulevard, it cost me about $300, but it will do my son till he’s six and is suitable from 5lb preemie upwards with true side impact protection, and is rear and forward facing for all children.
I bought the Graco Quattro Tour stroller, and it was great until my son was about 15 months then it was just too heavy. I bought the Phil and Ted’s Sport stroller recently, I need a double stroller (I’m 38 weeks pregnant again, with a 2 year old toddler still in the stroller!) and, even though it’s fiddly, I absolutely love it, and so does my son!
I never found Babies R Us very good, and never bought anything beyond bottles and my boppy pillow from Target. Give Sears a try, they seem to have a good range. Other than that, all I can recommend is to look around for smaller, local stores that might be able to offer a range of different items, or at least be able to order strollers or car seats from a catalog for you. Walmart, Kmart, Shopko, Target, Sears. You can also do a search online or in your local phone book for local baby stores. Good luck to you! April A
