Target usually has a good selection, as do Baby Depot (inside Burlington Coat Factory), Kmart, and Sears. JC Penney has that stuff online (not sure about in store). Also, local baby boutiques.
Yard sales & consignment stores ARE NOT good places to shop for child restraints! Used car seats are a HUGE safety risk! If you don’t know the history, don’t buy the seat! If a seat has been in a crash or not properly cared for, it’s not any good.

Just about every department store in our area has a baby section–Sears, JcPenney, Kohls, Kmart, Target, even Big Lots. I have bought at least some baby stuff at each one of these stores. They all (even big lots) carry the same brands, though usually in different patterns or models.

Target, Sears, JCPenny’s Right Start (its a high price baby store)
Make sure you do your research on the baby equipment you get, like recalls and statictics. I personally dont like or trust most Cosco brands. I find Graco (car seats, pak & plays & strollers) and some Fisher price items like bouncy chairs & swings are really good.
