This is my first time to be a mother, a bit nervous about what to buy for my baby.

I got a Graco one which had the carrier with it. It is very good and they are affordable with tons of colors and designs to chose from. I saw many good reviews on these and rarely are they recalled. i haven’t seen a recall for any of them yet myself.

I second sk I got the Graco ‘complete travel system” as well- it was a good price, comes with a car seat, my son is 19 mos and its held up very well.
I got mine in a navy winnie the pooh pattern I figured its unisex enough if I someday have another child it could work for a girl or another boy.

Personally I think a Maclaren is. I have a double and a single. And LOVE them both. They are a light weight stroller, and not bulky. They can be used from birth and up. I liked that you can use it for when they are babies, and then when they are older, and you aren’t ever carrying this huge stroller around that takes up all this room.

Everybody is going to give you a different opinion on what they like.

Here are some things to keep in mind.

Read the reviews, they are worth their weight in gold. I have been so disappointed so many times b/c I had a bad product and didn’t read the reviews.

Go to the store and try the product out. I found a stroller I liked a lot…. it didn’t fit in my trunk! I had to return it.

You do want a 5 point restraint system, that way you can use it when baby is small too. You do want one that reclines. Most every baby falls asleep in a stroller and it’s nice to be able to recline the seat back so they can sleep comfortably.

Get something neutral, if you can. If you chose to have another baby, it will last both genders!

    Good luck and congrats!

Well it depends on what you need it for. Basic use, or jogging. Will you use it all the time. Try to get one that holds up well. That to me is the most important. I have the Evenflow one and I like it. It’s a bit bulky for everyday use. Now that my baby is older I think I am going to get a basic umbrella stroller for everyday use. So much smaller and easier use.

If you plan on Jogging then go with a more higher quality one, which will be more expensive but you wont have to replace it.

I would second for Maclaren. If you are looking for a lightweight baby stroller, try Maclaren Volo stroller.

Maclaren Volo is great for traveling on public transport, because it is so easy to push, fold up and carry. You can do all these while holding the baby in one hand, and the carry strap gives you extra ease in carrying it.

Anyway, there are a couple of drawbacks though. Firstly, the seat doesn’t recline. This makes Maclaren Volo unsuitable for younger babies or sleeping children. Due to its 55lbs capacity, I would say that Maclaren Volo is for older toddlers.

But it is definitely the best & affordable baby stroller for me:)

    Congratulations by the way!

It’s not all about what is best per se. I would say all the major brands will follow safety codes, but what you have to consider is apart from the obvious, how you will be using it. Things like the height of the handlebars can be critical if you are particularly small or tall. Do you want it to be particularly lightweight and easy to fold etc.

Take a look at for more on this sort of thing. It’s an information blog, fairly new, but still some good stuff there.

    Good luck with baby x

Yeap, I would recommend Maclaren too. I bought the lightweight Maclaren Volo baby stroller base on some research online ( check out the source ), it turn out great! :)
