I work at a ski resort but I also work part time at a grocery store. There was a woman who came through my line last Friday night and she was here for a family reunion and didn’t realize that everything would be so expensive. She was having trouble paying for all of her groceries so I got my boss to give her a discount and then as she was leaving I gave her my phone number in and asked her to call me in the morning. To my surprise she actually did call and when they came up to the resort to go on a hike as they couldn’t afford the summer activites, I met them and gave them my comp passes for the summer. I didn’t have any family coming up this year so why not help out someone who could use them. Her kids were so excited and she cried as she thanked me, she was a very sweet woman.

I was in the candy store yesterday and this black couple allowed their children to stick their hands in the bins and eat candy out of them….when it clearly states that no candy is to be eaten until it’s paid for. I didn’t slap them….that was my act of kindness for yesterday.
