i agree and it was embraccing when my mom had her baby at the zoo and blocked all the exhibits and shit then brest feed ein front of every one

  3. Johno Says:

I know exactly what you mean, more and more I see kids that should be walking around, but are still in those damn buggies. The double ones are the worst, take up the hole street.

  4. RED (green's sister) Says:

Cause if u were a mom with a stroller u would see just how ignorant people can be. walking down the street even when someone is on there own they still expect mom to move. I’m telling u try it for an after noon u will get such bad stroller rage from idiots that they will be lucky if all they end up with is a few bruised shins. even try this with a trolley in a super market and see how many people move out of ur way. the answer none. in fairness it is easier for u to walk around the stroller instead of a mom try ing to do a 3 point turn around people every few minutes. that felt good ha

  5. Burg Says:

They only do it to people who can’t spell, i.e. “wit”. Strange isn’t it.

  6. Mandi Says:

…lol…because in their mind. They are the only ones in the store. Selfishness is a biotch.

  7. F1maniac Says:

I have a son and I totally agree. I hate those kind of people so much that I try never to act like that.

As a mom, I’ve often experienced the opposite. Not in the store, but out on the sidewalks. On more than one occasion, I’ve been through town with my (young enough) daughter in the stroller, and find myself going more out of my way to keep to my own space than others do when they are alone. I end up having to go off the sidewalk because other people don’t budge. Please recognize that there are those of us who go out of our way to be considerate to others, and who do their best, almost to a fault, to stay out of everyone else’s way. And I guarantee you’d be complaining just as much if those “5 year olds” were running all over the store, instead of being in one place. And it’s not just moms with baby strollers anyway, I come across many people who just don’t give a sh!t if they are in anyone’s way.

  9. MEGAN *aka* LIL MISS ROCK STAR DRAMA QUEEN Says:

HEY I GET WHAT UR SAYING AGREE EVEN THOUGH I AM A GIRL BUT THEY THINK EVERYONE SHOULD WATCH OUT FOR THIEM B/C THEY HAVE A BABY! AND DONT WORRY WHAT ALL THE OTHER PEOPLE SAY AND WHEN I HAVE A BABY I WILL NOT BE LIKKE THAT JUST TO MAKE U AHPPY ! AND YA MY LIL BROTHER WOULD WALK WHEN HE WAS 2 (HES 4 NOW AND HE STILL WALKS)

  10. Grasshopper Says:

I totally agree with you…..it’s very annoying. And, if two of em happen to see each other, they’re gonna stop and swap stories with each other and TOTALLY block whole sections of the store.

PS….You can tell which of the ^ ^ ^above ^ ^ ^ posters are offenders of this type of obnoxious behaviour!!! LMAO

  11. Grand pa Says:

The do the same on the bus. I am a senior walk with a cane and had to stand up while a stroller used up 3 seat spaces

True story - not long ago while I was driving down a busy street a man and a woman pushing a stroller were crossing (legally with the cross sign on) and some a**hole trying to turn right on a red light slammed on his brakes about two feet away from them and starting blasting his horn for them to get out of his way.

    Was that you?

  13. fly g Says:

because you wont get out of the way. you obvioulsy dont have any idea what its like to have a kid or to try to steer a stroller though a crowd of ppl who walk right infornt of you and expect you to manuver around them even though you can’t….
its kinda like people who cut of a semi truck ir expect then to get around you because you think you rule the road, but really you should just get out the their way

  14. Adsartha Says:

This could just as easily turn into, “Why do people pushing grocery carts think they own the whole store?” or “Why do people with wheelchairs think they own the sidewalk AND it’s their own personal autobahn?”

To answer your question, there’s two possible explanations. The first is that some people are inconsiderate and won’t be aware of their surroundings. Of course, I see way more slack-jawed yokels in my local IKEA doing this all on their own, so it’s not just moms. Too many people don’t realize they aren’t the center of the universe.

Secondly…actually, everything is answered by the first part, above. People just don’t pay attention. If some people just looked at where they were going, they would notice that the person with the stroller had been walking on one side of the sidewalk for awhile now. The non-stroller person just needed to remove their head from their butt long enough to realize they were hogging the path.

  15. Erica Says:

You don’t have kids, do you. The 5yr old can walk on his own, but it’s easier to know your child is nearby and not running around getting into things. Did you ever think to move your butt around the lady w/ the stroller? It’s that really so hard for you to do? Why should she move for you? If she is blocking the only way to get through, then ask her to please move. Dont just stand behind her waiting until she gets a clue. You try carrying a baby/toddler/ child around the store while you try to shop. As far as opening doors for these women w/ strollers, nobody made you do it. You have a choice. It’s just nice manners is all. You dont have a problem voicing your opinion here. Next time why don’t you tell that lady w/ stroller in person if it bothers you so much..

  16. spelling nazi Says:

AMEN!!! Don’t forget they make a dead stop in the middle of the aisle to chat with their friend.

  17. elliesmomee Says:

I agree with you…. to an extent.

    I’m a mom of 2 (currently 3.5yrs and 10 month old)…

And right now I don’t even OWN a stroller (sold them in hopes of getting a better one.. haven’t yet)!

I agree that moms sometimes seem to take up the entire isle, seem to think they have the ‘right of way’, seem to ‘expect’ people to open doors for them….etc…..

But in their defense………..Have you ever had to push around one of those gargantuan things?! Yikes! They are built like TANKS, for one… Most of the ones that come as “travel systems” (with the infant carrier that hooks in) or even worse…double strollers…. are absolutely HUGE in size to begin with. Let alone the stores with isles so narrow two people could hardly brush by eachother without bumping elbows - let alone a huge stroller with kids that have arms, legs, heads flailing about…. The wheel base is incredibly wide… they are so hard to maneuver sometimes…. I think they should require a license!

And so… Most moms don’t even have a fighting chance. They got the stroller back when they were a “first time mom” or they got it as a gift…. and at first sight the stroller in all its SIZE and glory seems really great. It’s all they’ll ever need or want - a fortress on four wheels…or more. And then they actually have to take it somewhere and it’s all downhill from there.

And as for your last comment… Yes, a 5 year old can walk - no stroller needed. But have you ever gone shopping with a 5 year old? It’s like going to Home Depot with your husband (which sometimes I wish they’d make carts big enough to put your husband in when you get there!). You get near the TOY section (or video games or baseball cards or…. power tools….) and you’ll never find them again. And all you came in for was an egg timer. By the time you’re ready to leave you’ve also picked up a mega-bottle of Tylenol, an aqua foot-massager and a 24 pack of Bud Light… it’s gonna be a long night!

So, you might run into the occasional “rude mom” but honestly…. most of us are just trying to get out of your way… the quickest way possible… and sometimes it’d be quicker if you’d just be kind enough to hold open the door.

  18. crlb Says:

its usually other ppl who are rude. and dont watch out. i’ve never ran into someone just to get through unless they were being rude and wouldn’t step out of the middle of the isle. and second if u had kids you would know why a 5 yr old would be in a stroller! i have a 3 yr old who is perfectly capable of walking along side me….however children like to sprint off and touch stuff..,…buckle ‘em in a seat and there’s no sprinting and you control who close they are to something…so no touching either. try being considerate next time.,…..ever think you’re the problem in the situations

  19. tdiamario Says:

u make me sick. most women are so stressed out with their kid and other things they dont have time to deal with A**holes like you. you make a 5 year old walk around for 3 hours while you shop then tell me you dont want a stroller. get a life

  20. Armygirl91 Says:

Because they are stupid selfish biotches.
